MATERNAL REHAB
Breath, Core & Postural Restoration for Pregnancy & Beyond.
Supporting women through pregnancy preparation and postnatal recovery with evidence-informed rehabilitation, functional breathwork and hands-on therapy.
WHY FOUNDATIONS MATTER
Few experiences place greater physical demands on the body than pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
Yet many women receive very little support in preparing for these demands or recovering afterwards.
As the body adapts, it is common to experience aches and pains, tension, weakness, poor posture, reduced confidence in movement, or a feeling that your body no longer moves and feels as it once did.
We live in a culture that often celebrates “bouncing back” - encouraging women to return to exercise, regain their previous shape or push through exhaustion before their bodies have had the opportunity to properly recover.
At The Mother Cocoon, recovery is approached differently.
Rather than focusing on getting your body back, these sessions focus on rebuilding the foundations that support it.
Whether you are preparing for birth, recovering after your baby arrives, or returning to exercise months or years later, the goal is to help you move with greater comfort, strength and confidence by addressing the foundations first.

-
Absolutely. Young babies are warmly welcomed at postnatal appointments.
Changing facilities are available, along with an electronic rocking baby swing and gentle light projections to help keep little ones settled while we work together. Sessions are always adapted with the realities of motherhood in mind, and feeding, cuddling and tending to your baby are never a problem.
Once babies become more mobile, some mothers find it easier to attend alone where possible so they can focus fully on their assessment and rehabilitation session.

RECOVERY IS MORE THAN JUST PHYSICAL
The Mother Cocoon supports recovery through two pathways: rehabilitation for the body and ritual for the nervous system.
Many women arrive looking for support with physical symptoms or pain, only to realise they are also carrying exhaustion, overwhelm and a nervous system that has been in survival mode for far too long.
Restorative Rituals
Alongside maternal rehabilitation sessions, Robyn also offers pre/postnatal restorative rituals designed to help women slow down, feel supported and experience deep nervous system regulation through therapeutic holding, massage, breath and rest.
