THE RITUAL
A multi-sensory, nurturing journey, combining sensory touch, breath, bodywork, therapeutic holding and nervous system restoration.
IN SAFE HANDS
Robyn Ablott weaves together therapeutic massage, bodywork, breath-led movement, nervous system regulation and restorative rest to create an experience that supports both body and nervous system in equal measure.
With a Master’s degree in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and extensive experience and training in women wellness, therapeutic massage and breathwork, every element has been carefully chosen to support deep restoration and lasting change.
Every ritual is guided by both intuition and clinical experience, and adapted to the unique needs of the woman receiving it.
Enter the Cocoon…
THE ARRIVAL
Settle into your seat as a heated wheat bag is wrapped around shoulders, encouraging them to soften and fall away from your ears.
A comforting herbal tea or infused water is offered as we take a moment to talk through the experience ahead - what you feel comfortable with, what you may be needing more of, and anything you would prefer to leave out or adapt along the way.
THE GROUNDING
Feet lower into warm water as it is slowly trickled over the skin.
Notice the warmth of soft towels, the subtle scent of essential oils and the beauty of rose petals drifting around your toes.
Each element is layered…
Inviting your senses to settle and your body begin to exhale.
THE SHEDDING
Your body begins to move.
Not exercise, but instinctive, breath-led movement - natural and unforced.
Many relaxation practices ask the body to become still before it is ready.
Here is an opportunity to release excess energy, shed the weight of the outside world and create space in areas of the body that habitually brace, grip or hold tension.
Where stress, overwhelm and hypervigilance have been held for too long.
Rocking
Swaying
Shaking
Breathing
There is no pressure here, only an invitation.
THE HOLDING
As the experience deepens, the floor space becomes a place of slowing down.
Touch becomes immersive, rhythmic and beautifully caring.
Your body begins to drop into a deeper state of regulation.
Most women rarely get to experience being held and cared for in this way.
Hair play
Cradling
Rocking
Swaying
Assisted stretching
Breath moving with breath
This is co-regulation at its deepest level.
Where the nervous system settles through rhythm, slowness, flow, connection and devotional presence.
THE DESCENT
The experience deepens further and an optional, regulation-focused massage unfolds.
A slow descent out of your mind and back into your body.
Attention naturally settles on the areas that support deep regulation.
Back of the neck,
scalp
shoulders,
heart space,
This is often the moment you realise how long it has been since someone cared for you.
Tears may come. Deep sighs, stillness or sleep.
It is all welcome here.
FEATHERLIGHT
The experience transitions into sensory touch.
Fingertips, nails, feathers, wooden scalp combs and soft brushes drift slowly across the skin.
Gentle, slow, intentional touch creating waves of sensation
Tingles travelling from spine to scalp
For some women, this becomes their favourite part of the entire ritual. Others may prefer deeper touch.
Everything is guided by choice.
Featherlight can evoke a deep feeling of being soothed, safe and profoundly cared for.
THE COCOON
At the heart of the ritual is the cocoon.
Held within layers of soft fabric while the body is gently supported.
Rocked
Contained
Held
A moment for complete surrender.
There is something both symbolic and physiological here.
The cocoon reflects transformation -
a transition, a becoming.
But it also offers something the nervous system recognises instantly.
Rhythm,
Containment.
Gentle movement.
Proprioceptive and vestibular input -
working together to bring the body into a state of safety.
A subtle echo of the womb…
our first experience of being held.
THE EMERGENCE
There is no need to rush back into the outside world.
Infused water and a small nourishing snack is offered.
Stillness
For those who wish to carry this feeling beyond the ritual, simple practices may be shared with you afterwards - breathwork, guided movement or self-massage techniques your body particularly responded to during the ritual.
You leave feeling more connected to yourself again.
Shoulders lowered, jaw relaxed, breath deeper, and your mind quieter.
As though your body has finally been given permission to stop bracing.
The kind of rest and release that lingers long after you leave the cocoon.
WOVEN THROUGHOUT THE RITUAL
FOR YOUR BODY
-
A warm foot bath to signal to the body that it is safe to slow down.
A gentle foot cleanse and massage is combined with soothing aromas and comforting sensory elements.
This opening ritual helps ease the transition into rest.
-
A gentle blend of rocking, swaying, shaking, breath-led movement and mobility.
This part of the ritual provides an opportunity to release excess energy, shed the weight of the outside world and create space in areas of the body that habitually brace, grip or hold tension.
There is no performance or exercise here - only an invitation to move in a way that feels natural, supportive and freeing.
-
Performed fully-clothed, this therapeutic bodywork uses targeted hands-on techniques to restore comfort, ease and freedom of movement within the body.
Performed fully clothed, it combines gentle movement, positioning, stretching and specialised techniques to create space in areas that have become restricted through stress, posture, or long-held patterns of tension and protection.
Particular attention may be given to areas such as the pelvis, hips, ribcage, diaphragm, neck and shoulders, depending on the needs of your body.
For those who prefer not to receive the massage, this element can also be used as a standalone form of therapeutic support within the ritual.
-
Designed to create a deep sense of comfort, rest and ease within the body.
Unlike traditional full-body massage, this element focuses on areas that play an important role in stress, tension and nervous system regulation.
Particular attention may be given to the jaw, scalp, base of the neck, shoulders, ribcage, diaphragm, hands and feet, depending on the needs of your body.
Long, flowing strokes are combined with slower, more intentional techniques to encourage the body to shift from a state of doing into a state of rest.
These areas are often where we unconsciously hold tension, and many are closely connected to breathing patterns, posture and the body’s natural relaxation responses.
Every massage is adapted to your individual needs, preferences and comfort levels.
-
Breath is woven throughout the ritual rather than taught as a separate practice.
Through simple guidance, touch, movement and positioning, you may be invited to explore softer, easier breathing patterns and greater movement through the ribcage and diaphragm.
This gentle approach can help support relaxation, comfort and a deeper sense of ease within the body.
-
You’ll receive a selection of personalised practices to support your wellbeing beyond the treatment room.
These may include breathing techniques, gentle movement, mobility exercises, self-massage and other simple tools designed to help you maintain a greater sense of ease, comfort and balance in everyday life.
All practices are optional and tailored to your individual needs and circumstances.
FOR YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM
-
Therapeutic Holding is a deeply nurturing form of touch therapy combining cradling, rocking, rhythmic movement, supportive holds and sensory touch.
Drawing on the principles of co-regulation, it helps the body settle through rhythm, containment and connection - encouraging a deep sense of safety, comfort and being held.
A rare opportunity to soften, surrender and experience being cared for in a way that many women rarely receive.
-
One of the most powerful tools you can carry beyond the ritual, guided breathwork supports both nervous system regulation and a greater sense of ease within the body.
Through simple, gentle practices, you’ll be invited to explore breathing patterns that help calm the body’s stress response, encourage relaxation and support emotional wellbeing.
Many women find these practices become a valuable anchor they can return to during busy, stressful or emotionally challenging times.
-
Gentle sensory touch can have a powerful effect on how safe, settled and supported we feel within our bodies.
Using feathers, scalp combs, soft brushes and light touch, these experiences stimulate specialised sensory pathways associated with relaxation, comfort and connection. Many women describe this as one of the most deeply calming parts of the ritual.
This type of touch may help encourage the release of oxytocin and support the body's natural relaxation response, creating a sense of stillness, comfort and ease.
For some women, this becomes their favourite part of the ritual. Others discover they prefer deeper forms of touch and support.
Preferences are always discussed at the beginning of your session. If sensory touch does not feel right for you, this time can simply be woven into another element of the ritual that your body responds to more deeply.
-
Deep rest is an essential part of the ritual, not an afterthought.
Integration is simply the process of giving your body and mind time to absorb the care, support and attention they have received.
During this time, additional comforts such as a weighted blanket, warmed eye pillow and other supportive sensory elements may be offered to encourage a deeper sense of relaxation and ease.
Often, it is within these quiet moments that the deepest shifts occur.
-
The nervous system is the lens through which we experience the world.
If we feel safe, supported and regulated, everything feels easier.
When stress, overwhelm or the demands of life build over time, the body often begins to carry the weight of it.
Through breath, movement, touch and rest, this ritual creates the conditions for your body to soften, your mind to quieten and a deeper sense of ease to emerge.
The intention is simple: to help you feel more settled, supported and restored.
-
Wrapped in soft fabric and gently supported, Cocooning combines containment, rhythmic movement, breath and guided relaxation to encourage deep rest and integration.
Inspired by the body’s natural response to gentle pressure, rhythm and feeling held, it creates a sense of safety and comfort that allows both body and mind to soften.
Many women describe it as feeling held, nurtured and cared for in a way they have not experienced for a very long time.
-
You’ll receive a selection of simple practices tailored specifically to you, designed to support the benefits of the ritual beyond the treatment room.
These may include breathwork, grounding techniques, sensory regulation tools, gentle movement practices or other approaches that your body responded particularly well to during your session.
The intention is not to add more to your to-do list, but to offer simple ways to create moments of calm, comfort and connection in everyday life.
Your Questions, Answered
-
A ritual can be a beautiful gift for someone you care about - whether for a birthday, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or simply as a thoughtful way to show your appreciation and support.
Many people choose to gift a ritual to a friend, partner, mother, daughter or loved one who is navigating a particularly demanding season of life. It can be a meaningful gesture during times of stress, burnout, grief, loss, major life transitions, or whenever someone simply needs permission to slow down and receive care themselves.
Beautifully presented gift vouchers are available and can be sent directly to you or the recipient.
-
While massage forms part of the experience, each ritual is a carefully curated, multi-sensory journey designed to nurture both body and nervous system.
Through a blend of therapeutic touch, breathwork, bodywork, rest, warmth, sound and sensory experiences, the intention is not simply to ease physical tension, but to create a space where you can feel safe enough to fully exhale.
No two rituals are exactly the same. Each experience is tailored to meet you where you are and support what your body and nervous system need most on that day.
This is why many women describe it as an experience rather than a treatment.
-
Time is taken to arrive slowly, settle into the space, enjoy refreshments and move through each element of the ritual at an unrushed pace.
While the hands-on experience lasts around 90 minutes, I recommend allowing up to 2 hours from arrival to departure so that nothing feels rushed.
This is not simply a treatment appointment, but a complete experience designed to leave you feeling deeply rested, nurtured and restored.
-
Not at all. Everything is guided and adapted to your comfort level. There is nothing you need to prepare or learn beforehand.
-
Many women choose these rituals because they want a break from thinking, planning and holding everything together. They often prefer very little talking, allowing them to step out of their heads and back into their bodies.
However, when a woman finally feels safe enough to let go, strong emotions can naturally surface sometimes. Tears are not uncommon. If this happens, it is welcomed with warmth, compassion and understanding.
This is a space where you can set down the weight you carry, remove the mask, and simply be yourself - without judgement, expectation or the need to hold it all together.
Letting go can be one of the bravest things you do. You do not have to be strong here.
While many women prefer quiet, I am always happy to listen, hold space and talk things through if that feels supportive.
The experience is guided by what feels right for you on the day
-
Comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and relaxation is ideal.
If possible, a vest top or strappy top is helpful for The Holding part of the ritual, as it allows access to the shoulders, upper chest and neck whilst helping you remain comfortable and supported throughout the experience.
If you would like to enjoy the hair play and scalp relaxation elements, freshly washed hair is recommended for you both, although this is entirely optional.
Many women choose to arrive in their comfiest clothes, and some even come in their pyjamas.
The more at home you feel, the better.
-
No. Everything is optional.
Some mothers love the soft sensory touch.
Some prefer to skip this part and receive a longer massage instead.
Some choose not to receive massage at all and receive more fully-clothed bodywork, or therapeutic holding instead.
Some prefer certain essential oils that others don’t.
The experience is always adapted around your needs and preferences.
-
Some women book a ritual as a one-off act of rest and restoration, while others choose to come monthly or seasonally as part of their ongoing wellbeing.
Many women find regular rituals particularly supportive during periods of increased stress, major life transitions, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, burnout, or times of grief and loss.
Together, we can find a rhythm that feels supportive for you, your needs and your lifestyle.
You hold so much
This space holds you.
