THE RITUAL
A somatically transformative journey of touch, breath, bodywork and nervous system restoration.
IN EXPERIENCED HANDS
Far more than a traditional massage, this ritual has been thoughtfully designed as a multi-sensory experience for both body and nervous system.
Robyn Ablott weaves together therapeutic massage, bodywork, breath-led movement, nervous system regulation, sensory exploration and restorative rest to create an experience that supports both body and nervous system in equal measure.
With a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and extensive training in women wellness, therapeutic massage and breathwork, every element has been carefully chosen to support deep restoration and lasting change.
Every Ritual is intuitively led and adapted to meet the unique needs of the person receiving it.
Enter the Cocoon…
THE ARRIVAL
Step inside the cocoon and allow the faint smell of neroli and warm cedarwood to immediately soften your mind.
Take a seat as a soft blanket is wrapped around your shoulders while you sip from your choice of a comforting warm drink. A small menu of thoughtfully blends has been carefully curated - from herbal infusion teas and ceremonial cacao to warm, frothy drinks infused with vanilla, cinnamon and oat milk.
Here, we take a moment to talk through the experience ahead - what you feel comfortable with, what you may be needing more of, and anything you would prefer to leave out or adapt along the way.
THE GROUNDING
Feet lower into warm water as it is slowly trickled over the skin.
Notice the heat of soft towels, the subtle scent of essential oils and the beauty of rose petals drifting around your toes.
Each element is layered…
Inviting your senses to settle and your body begin to exhale.
THE SHEDDING
Your body begins to move.
Not exercise, but instinctive, body-led release - natural and unforced.
Rocking
Swaying
Shaking
Breathing
Letting go of your armour and allowing excess energy to move through your body rather than remain held within it.
A way of shedding what has been held through guided, embodied movement.
There is no pressure here, only an invitation.
THE HOLDING
As the experience deepens, the floor space becomes a place of slowing down.
Touch becomes immersive, rhythmic and beautifully caring.
Your body begins to drop into a deeper state of regulation.
Hair play
Cradling
Rocking
Swaying
Assisted stretching
Breath moving with breath
This is co-regulation at its deepest level.
Where the nervous system settles through rhythm, slowness, flow, connection and a devotional presence.
THE DESCENT
The experience deepens further onto the massage table.
An intuitive, nurturing, full-body massage unfolds.
A slow descent out of your mind,
and back into your body.
Long, flowing strokes move continuously across your entire body.
In uninterrupted connection.
There is a leaning towards the areas that support deep regulation.
Your neck,
shoulders,
heart space,
scalp.
This is often the moment you feel you have drifted to another world.
Rested, held,
and far away from the outside world.
FEATHERLIGHT
The experience transitions into sensory touch.
Feathers
Wooden scalp combs
Soft brushes drifting across the skin.
Gentle, slow, intentional touch
Creating waves of sensation -
Tingles travelling from spine to scalp,
Down your arms to the tips of each finger.
ASMR-inspired.
Drawing your body deeper into stillness.
Quietening the mind and guiding your body to a restful, meditative state.
For some, this can feel incredibly soothing.
Others may prefer deeper touch.
Everything is guided by choice.
Time is taken at the beginning to understand what feels right for you - with full consent and space to adjust at any point.
Featherlight provides a familiar feeling of being soothed, safe and profoundly cared for.
THE COCOON
At the heart of the experience is the cocoon.
Held within layers of soft fabric while the body is gently supported.
Rocked
Contained
Held
A moment for complete surrender.
Visualisations and affirmations are woven throughout.
Guided by what your body needs to hear in that moment.
Supporting a sense of hope, safety, trust and connection within yourself.
There is something both symbolic and physiological here.
The cocoon reflects transformation -
a transition, a becoming.
But it also offers something the nervous system recognises instantly.
Rhythm,
Containment.
Gentle movement.
Proprioceptive and vestibular input -
working together to bring the body into a state of safety.
A subtle echo of the womb…
our first experience of being held.
THE EMERGENCE
You will emerge slowly.
There is no need to rush back into the outside world.
Infused water.
A small nourishing snack.
Stillness
For those who wish to carry this feeling beyond the ritual, simple practices may be shared with you afterwards - breathwork, guided movement or self-massage techniques your body particularly responded to during the ritual.
You leave feeling more connected to yourself again.
Shoulders lowered,
jaw relaxed.
breath deeper,
and your mind quieter.
As though your body has finally been given permission to stop bracing.
The kind of rest and release that lingers long after you leave the cocoon.
WOVEN THROUGHOUT THE RITUAL
FOR YOUR BODY
-
A warm foot bath for thoughtfully designed to signal to the body that it is safe to slow down.
A gentle foot cleanse and massage, is combined with soothing aromas and comforting sensory elements.
This opening ritual helps ease the transition from the outside world.
-
A gentle blend of rocking, swaying, shaking, breath-led movement and mobility.
Many relaxation practices ask the body to become still before it is ready. This part of the ritual provides an opportunity to release excess energy, shed the weight of the outside world and create space in areas of the body that habitually brace, grip or hold tension.
There is no performance or exercise here - only an invitation to move in a way that feels natural, supportive and freeing.
-
Very different from traditional massage, bodywork uses targeted hands-on techniques to help restore comfort, ease and freedom of movement within the body.
Performed fully clothed, it combines gentle movement, positioning, stretching and specialised techniques to create space in areas that have become restricted through stress, posture, injury or long-held patterns of tension and protection.
Particular attention may be given to areas such as the pelvis, hips, ribcage, diaphragm, neck and shoulders, depending on the needs of your body.
For those who prefer not to receive the massage, this element can also be used as a standalone form of therapeutic support within the ritual.
-
For those who wish to receive it, a nurturing full-body massage designed to create a deep sense of comfort, rest and ease within the body.
Long, flowing strokes gently soothe areas of tension and holding throughout the body. Particular attention may be given to the neck, shoulders, scalp, back and other areas that your body responds to most deeply on the day.
Every massage is adapted to your individual needs, preferences and comfort levels.

FOR YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM
-
One of the most powerful tools you can carry beyond the ritual, guided breathwork supports both nervous system regulation and the foundations of healthy movement and recovery.
Through simple, gentle practices, you’ll learn how to calm the body’s stress response, improve breathing mechanics, and create a greater sense of ease and connection within yourself.
Many women find these techniques become a valuable anchor they return to during busy, stressful or emotionally challenging times.
-
The nervous system is the lens through which we experience the world.
When we feel safe, supported and regulated, everything feels easier.
When we are stressed, overwhelmed or carrying too much for too long, the body often begins to hold the weight of it.
Through regulation practices, this ritual creates the conditions for your body to soften, your mind to quieten, and your nervous system to remember what it feels like to simply be.
-
Soothing sensory touch experiences designed to calm the nervous system through slow, intentional sensation.
Using feathers, scalp combs, soft brushes and light touch, they encourage a state of deep relaxation, stillness and comfort.
For some women, this becomes their favourite part of the entire ritual. Others discover they prefer deeper forms of touch and support.
Preferences are always discussed at the beginning of your session. If sensory touch does not feel right for you, this time can simply be woven into another element of the ritual that your body responds to more deeply.
-
Deep rest is an essential part of the ritual, not an afterthought.
Throughout the experience, moments of stillness allow your body and nervous system time to absorb and integrate the care you have received.
The ending is intentionally unhurried. There is no expectation to jump straight back into the demands of daily life. Instead, you are given space to linger, breathe, gather yourself, and gently transition back into your day.
Often, it is within these quiet moments that the deepest shifts occur.
-
Simple practices selected specifically for you to continue using beyond the ritual.
These may include breathwork, grounding techniques, sensory regulation tools, gentle movement practices or other nervous system supports that your body responded particularly well to during your session.
Designed to help you create moments of calm, regulation and connection in everyday life, long after the ritual has ended.
-
-
Wrapped in soft fabric and gently supported, Cocooning combines containment, rhythmic movement, breathwork and affirmations to encourage deep relaxation and integration.
Inspired by the nervous system’s natural response to gentle pressure, rhythm and feeling held, it creates a profound sense of safety, comfort and surrender towards the end of the ritual.
-
Perhaps the most unique part of the ritual, Therapeutic Holding is a deeply nurturing form of touch therapy combining cradling, rocking, rhythmic movement, supportive holds and sensory touch.
Inspired by the science of co-regulation, it helps the nervous system settle through rhythm, containment and connection - encouraging a deep sense of safety, comfort and being held.
A rare opportunity to soften, surrender and experience being cared for in a way most women rarely receive.
Your Questions, Answered
-
While massage forms part of the experience, each ritual is a carefully curated, multi-sensory journey designed to nurture both body and nervous system.
Through a blend of therapeutic touch, breathwork, bodywork, rest, warmth, sound and sensory experiences, the intention is not simply to ease physical tension, but to create a space where you can feel safe enough to fully exhale.
No two rituals are exactly the same. Each experience is tailored to meet you where you are and support what your body and nervous system need most on that day.
This is why many women describe it as an experience rather than a treatment.
-
Not at all. Everything is guided and adapted to your comfort level. There is nothing you need to prepare or learn beforehand.
-
Many women choose these rituals because they want a break from thinking, planning and holding everything together. They often prefer very little talking, allowing them to step out of their heads and back into their bodies.
However, when a woman finally feels safe enough to let go, strong emotions can naturally surface sometimes. Tears are not uncommon. If this happens, it is welcomed with warmth, compassion and understanding.
This is a space where you can set down the weight you carry, remove the mask, and simply be yourself - without judgement, expectation or the need to hold it all together.
Letting go can be one of the bravest things you do. You do not have to be strong here.
While many women prefer quiet, I am always happy to listen, hold space and talk things through if that feels supportive.
The experience is guided by what feels right for you on the day
-
Comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and relaxation is ideal.
If possible, a vest top or strappy top is helpful for The Holding part of the ritual, as it allows access to the shoulders, upper chest and neck whilst helping you remain comfortable and supported throughout the experience.
If you would like to enjoy the hair play and scalp relaxation elements, freshly washed hair is recommended for you both, although this is entirely optional.
Many women choose to arrive in their comfiest clothes, and some even come in their pyjamas.
The more at home you feel, the better.
-
No. Everything is optional.
Some mothers love the soft sensory touch.
Some prefer to skip this part and receive a longer massage instead.
Some choose not to receive massage at all.
Some prefer certain essential oils that others don’t.
The experience is always adapted around your needs and preferences.
-
Some women book a ritual as a one-off act of rest and restoration, while others choose to come monthly or seasonally as part of their ongoing wellbeing.
Many women find regular rituals particularly supportive during periods of increased stress, major life transitions, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, burnout, or times of grief and loss.
Together, we can find a rhythm that feels supportive for you, your needs and your lifestyle.
-
Many women notice an immediate sense of calm, emotional release, ease and connection afterwards.
The take-home practices are designed to help you continue building on the benefits between sessions.
-
Time is taken to arrive slowly, settle into the space, enjoy refreshments and move through each element of the ritual at an unrushed pace.
While the hands-on experience lasts around 90 minutes, I recommend allowing up to 2 hours from arrival to departure so that nothing feels rushed.
This is not simply a treatment appointment, but a complete experience designed to leave you feeling deeply rested, nurtured and restored.
-
A ritual can be a beautiful gift for someone you care about - whether for a birthday, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or simply as a thoughtful way to show your appreciation and support.
Many people choose to gift a ritual to a friend, partner, mother, daughter or loved one who is navigating a particularly demanding season of life. It can be a meaningful gesture during times of stress, burnout, grief, loss, major life transitions, or whenever someone simply needs permission to slow down and receive care themselves.
Beautifully presented gift vouchers are available and can be sent directly to you or the recipient.
